Pistachios are also rich in antioxidants which help to protect cells from free radicals (unstable atoms that can damage cells, causing illness and aging). A small study. was conducted, where participants ate 1-2 small servings of pistachios over 4 weeks, and in the end, they experienced lower “bad” cholesterol levels.
3. Your eye health improves.
Other useful elements that are hidden in pistachios are lutein and zeaxanthin, which are both powerful antioxidants that have a good effect on eye health. They can lower the chances of developing vision-related issues, as well as age-related macular degeneration and cataracts.
